What are folded comments on TikTok?
Folded comments are comments TikTok has tucked away behind a “View folded comments” link at the bottom of your comment section, instead of showing them in the main thread. TikTok folds them automatically – typically when its systems read a comment as spam, repetitive, irrelevant, or borderline against Community Guidelines – and it doesn’t publish the exact criteria. The person who wrote the comment usually still sees it normally on their own screen, which is why folded comments go unnoticed for so long. Folding is TikTok’s own filter and you can’t switch it off, but you can tap “View folded comments” to check what’s in there – and you can control your own moderation, which is where a tool like NapoleonCat comes in.
What are the TikTok comment moderation policies and settings?
Two separate things sit behind that question. TikTok’s Community Guidelines are the platform’s own policy – TikTok removes or restricts content that breaks them, and you have no say in it.
