Basic

“Basic” is a slang term used to describe someone who follows popular trends and styles, often without much originality or individuality.

It’s like calling someone mainstream or predictable in their choices.

Imagine someone always wears the same type of clothes that everyone else is wearing, orders the most popular coffee drink, and uses all the trendy phrases – you might playfully say they’re being “basic.”

“Basic” can also refer to things that are overly common or unoriginal. For instance, if a restaurant only serves very typical and widely available dishes, you could say their menu is “basic.”

This term is often used to point out when someone is conforming to what’s popular rather than expressing their own unique tastes. It’s a bit like saying, “Come on, be more original!”

“Basic” is a way of playfully teasing or critiquing someone’s lack of individuality. So, when you hear or use “basic,” you’re describing someone who tends to stick to the tried-and-true trends without stepping out of their comfort zone.
