Auto-moderation
Auto-moderation refers to the use of automated tools to moderate content on social media. It is a solution developed by NapoleonCat to help businesses and organizations manage their online presence more effectively.
The tool works based on a simple “if-then” condition. Users can indicate content types and keywords that will trigger a defined action. For example, they can define abusive words frequently used in comments on their social ads and set Auto-moderation to hide or delete comments including these keywords automatically.
Social media professionals can also use Auto-moderation to generate automated responses to simple and repetitive questions using the same mechanism as in the case of harmful comments and messages. For example, they can create response templates to all questions including the “shipping” keyword.
Auto-moderation can scan comments and messages from Facebook and Instagram profiles and hide, delete, respond to, or even block users. You can also set Auto-moderation to reduce the workload of human moderators and flag content for their review, automatically archive specific comments and messages, assign conversations to dedicated specialists, mark sentiment, and tag users.
Auto-moderation’s potential use cases include:
- Deleting comments including harmful links or links to your competitors’ products and services;
- Hiding comments including spam, hate speech, algospeak, and other types of abusive or harmful content;
- Ensuring that all content posted on social media channels is on-brand and meets the organization’s standards;
- Redirecting sensitive conversations to private space (private messages);
- Responding to repetitive questions or “love comments” or CFBR content;
- Distribute tasks among your social media and customer service teams;
- Tag potential clients, trolls, the most engaged fans, and other users;
- Sending private messages to thank everyone who participated in your social media contest and offer a consolation prize like a discount code.
