Facebook Follower Count Tracker– 2 Years, Day by Day

Facebook won’t tell you when your Page started losing people. It shows you today’s number and lets you guess at the rest. A Facebook follower count tracker fixes that: every day recorded, and kept for two years.

Facebook follower count tracker in NapoleonCat showing the daily Fans number over two years

Facebook analytics: A Facebook follower count tracker with two years of daily history

Every day your Page gets a number, and NapoleonCat writes it down. Pick any period and you get the count on the first day, the count on the last, the change between them, and a line for every day in between. Two years of it (unlimited on custom plans).

No exports, and no spreadsheet you have to remember to update on Mondays. There’s one catch and it’s the only one: we start counting the day you connect the Page, so the sooner that happens, the more history you’ll have to look back on.

Facebook Fans growth chart showing daily follower gains and losses for a Page

Fans growth: Catch the week your Page started losing people, not the quarter

Fans growth splits that same history into daily gains and losses, and you can open the table for the exact number on each day.

So a slow bleed shows up as the week it started, not as a nasty surprise in the quarterly review. And if it lines up with a comment section that got out of hand, Auto-moderation is what stops it happening again.

A competitor Facebook Page tracked as a followed profile next to your own Page

Followed profiles: Run the same tracker on a competitor’s Page

Want the same chart for a Page you don’t administer? Add it as a followed profile and NapoleonCat starts tracking it from that day on, right next to your own: followers, posting activity, engagement, hashtags.

Nobody has to approve it and nobody gets notified. Their Page just sits in the same dashboard as yours, over the same dates, measured the same way.

Separate Workspaces in NapoleonCat, each client Page with its own follower count history

Workspaces: Every Page you manage keeps its own count, and its own client

Agencies get the messy version of this. Five clients, five Pages, five separate histories that must never end up in the wrong report.

Give each client their own Workspace, with their own team and permissions, and they don’t. Meanwhile every comment and DM from those Pages still lands in one Social Inbox, so you’re not switching tools just to answer them.

Automated white-label PDF report with the Facebook follower count history and graphs

Automated reports: The follower numbers go out before your client asks for them

You know the email. “Can you send me the numbers?” Set it up once and your follower count history goes out weekly, monthly or quarterly, white-labeled, with the graphs already drawn.

Nobody exports anything. Nobody builds a slide the night before. You just stop thinking about it, which is the whole point of automating a report.

Here’s why our clients love NapoleonCat

NapoleonCat saves up to one-third of a full-time position. That’s time we would otherwise spend manually moderating thousands of comments each month using the Meta Business Suite, profile by profile and comment by comment. Time we can now use for growth. NapoleonCat is the best tool of its kind on the market, and it’s still constantly evolving and improving by introducing new AI features.

It’s hard to imagine our work without a tool that includes so many valuable features. It won’t be an overstatement when I say that NapoleonCat saves us multiple full-time positions that would be dedicated to just moderating comments or manually generating reports.

NapoleonCat gives us the full picture of social media interactions. It’s easier to pick up urgent threads that need taking immediate action. And with conversation history, it’s much easier to continue the work of another team member while they’re out of office.

We work with multiple clients, and with NapoleonCat, we don’t waste time switching between multiple software tools. We can also deliver reliable data from a single source. We tested other social media moderation and analytics tools before, but none of them lived up to what NapoleonCat delivers. They’re the best, and I personally love using the tool. 🙂

NapoleonCat is now an indispensable tool that we use for moderation and analytical purposes, as well as content publishing. We’re curious to see new capabilities of the tool and test its new uses, for example, to moderate TikTok ad comments, as we predict this social media channel to become more and more important for our clients.

It’s the first social media engagement tool we have ever tried that is truly intuitive and that makes it easy for us to include the clients in the process. The service and support is great and personal. And the value for money is great!

We were looking for a tool that would allow us to consolidate and manage comments and private messages from Messenger in one place. Analytics and reports were also very important to us, as they would show us the level of our social media customer service. That’s why, in 2017, we decided to choose NapoleonCat.

FAQs

How far back does the Facebook follower count history go?

Up to 24 months, and unlimited on custom plans. The one thing worth knowing before you start: NapoleonCat begins recording your Facebook follower count on the day you connect the Page and keeps it daily from then on. It doesn’t reach back and fill in numbers from before that, because Meta doesn’t hand those out. So the earlier you connect, the more history you’ll have when you need it.

Can I track a competitor’s Facebook follower count?

Yes. Add any public Page as a followed profile and NapoleonCat tracks its follower count from that day on, next to your own Pages, over the same dates. Nothing needs approving and the Page owner isn’t notified. Competitor tracking works on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube, and it’s on every paid plan rather than reserved for a higher tier.

Can I track several Facebook Pages separately?

Yes, and that’s the point of Workspaces. Every Page you manage keeps its own follower count history, and you can split clients or brands into separate Workspaces with their own team members and permissions, so one client’s numbers never appear in another client’s view or another client’s report.

Do I have to build the report myself?

No. Set an automated report up once and NapoleonCat packages the follower count history into a white-labeled PDF with the graphs drawn, then emails it weekly, monthly or quarterly to whoever needs it. You can mix several Pages, and several platforms, into the same report.

Is there a free Facebook follower count tracker?

Facebook’s own Page insights are free but they only cover Pages you administer, and the history is thin. NapoleonCat is free for 14 days with no credit card, which is long enough to connect your Pages, add a competitor or two and watch the daily numbers start stacking up before you decide anything.

Which platforms can I track followers on?

Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn Company Pages for your own profiles. Competitor tracking is narrower and covers Facebook, Instagram and YouTube, because those are the only networks that let a tool follow a profile you don’t own.
