Agorapulse publishes three prices: 79, 119 and 149 dollars per user per month. Every one of those plans includes exactly one user and ten social profiles – and the ten do not go up when you add people.

That one detail explains most of what goes wrong when teams budget for this tool. Here is the full picture, read off Agorapulse’s own pricing page and help centre today – including the free plan that quietly disappeared six weeks ago.

Key Takeaways

  1. Agorapulse starts at 79 USD per user a month. That is Standard on annual billing – Professional is 119 and Advanced 149, all per user, with a quoted Custom tier above them.
  2. Every plan includes one user and ten profiles. Each extra user costs the same as the first, and the ten profile slots are shared across everyone – so adding people never adds profiles.
  3. The free plan was retired on 6 July 2026. Existing free users were unsubscribed automatically and offered a paid plan or a free AI-only tier. Agorapulse’s own pricing FAQ still says you can keep using the free plan.
  4. X costs extra, and the price is not published. Since January 2026 connecting any X profile requires a paid add-on, either X Lite for publishing or X Plus for the inbox and reports.
  5. Monthly billing costs 20 to 25% more. Standard is 99 a month billed monthly against 79 billed annually. On Advanced the gap is 199 against 149 – the biggest of the three.

TL;DR: what Agorapulse costs in 2026

Every price below is per user, per month, taken from Agorapulse’s pricing page and its help centre article on per-user pricing, both checked on 19 August 2026.

PlanAnnual (per user/mo)Monthly (per user/mo)UsersProfiles
Standard79 USD99 USD110
Professional119 USD149 USD110
Advanced149 USD199 USD110
CustomQuote onlyQuote onlyQuotedUnlimited

Two things matter more than the headline numbers. Every plan is priced for a single user, and each additional person is charged at the same rate as the first. And the profile allowance does not move – Standard, Professional and Advanced all stop at ten.

The free plan is gone, and the pricing page has not caught up

Agorapulse ran a free plan for years. It ended on 6 July 2026.

According to Agorapulse’s own help centre, the Free plan stopped being available to new and existing users on that date. Anyone still on it was unsubscribed automatically and shown two options at next sign-in: move to a paid plan, or move to the free version of Archie, the company’s new AI content tool.

The Archie tier is not a general free plan. It gives one owner plus up to a hundred limited users, up to fifty profiles across Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn only, and ten credits a month – and new posts can only be created through Archie itself. It is a content-generation product with publishing attached – not the old free plan under a new name.

Meanwhile the pricing page still answers the question “what happens after the trial?” with the line that you can pick a paid plan or keep using the free plan for as long as you need. Six weeks after the plan was withdrawn, that answer was still there when we checked. If you are budgeting from the pricing page alone, that is the first thing that will mislead you.

What “per user” actually means here

This is the part that costs teams money, and it is documented in the help centre rather than on the pricing page.

  • Each plan price buys exactly one user.
  • Every additional user is charged at the same rate as the first, with no volume break at any published tier.
  • The ten social profile slots are shared across the whole account, not granted per user.

So a three-person team on Advanced pays three times 149 dollars a month and still manages ten profiles between them. Upgrading tiers does not raise the ceiling either – Standard, Professional and Advanced all carry the same ten. The only published way past it is the Custom plan, which is quoted rather than listed.

That is the opposite of how most of this category works. On Sprout Social, moving up to Professional buys unlimited profiles. On Agorapulse, moving up buys features – profiles stay where they are.

What Agorapulse costs a team

Per user, per year, on annual billing, before any add-on:

Team sizeStandard (79)Professional (119)Advanced (149)
1 user948 USD/year1,428 USD/year1,788 USD/year
3 users2,844 USD/year4,284 USD/year5,364 USD/year
5 users4,740 USD/year7,140 USD/year8,940 USD/year
10 users9,480 USD/year14,280 USD/year17,880 USD/year

None of those figures include tax, the X add-on, extra profile slots, or the jump to Custom that more than ten profiles requires. A five-person team that wants automated moderation is at 8,940 dollars a year before anyone connects an X account.

Ten users on Advanced is 17,880 dollars a year for an account that still manages ten social profiles – one profile per person, which is not what most teams of that size are doing.

Monthly vs annual billing on Agorapulse

Agorapulse publishes both, which is more than several competitors do.

PlanMonthlyAnnualYou save
Standard99 USD79 USD20 USD per user/mo, 20.2%
Professional149 USD119 USD30 USD per user/mo, 20.1%
Advanced199 USD149 USD50 USD per user/mo, 25.1%

The pricing page advertises “save up to 20%”. On Advanced the real saving is a little over 25%, so the biggest discount in the range is the one they undersell. On a five-person Advanced team, annual billing is 3,000 dollars a year cheaper than paying monthly – which is a full extra seat and change.

The trade-off is the usual one. Annual billing means committing for twelve months to a per-user product – and a per-user product is exactly the kind you want to be able to shrink.

The add-ons that are not in the price

Three costs sit outside the published per-user figure, and none of them carry a public price.

  • X (Twitter) access. Since January 2026 an add-on is required to connect any X profile at all: X Lite for publishing only, or X Plus for publishing plus the inbox and reporting. X profiles do not count toward your ten slots, which is the one piece of good news here.
  • Extra social profiles. Going past ten on Standard, Professional or Advanced means buying more slots as an add-on from the subscription settings.
  • Extended historical data sync. Pulling in more history than the default is its own paid item.

On most tools in this category X is simply one of the networks you connect. Here it is a separate purchase – and if X matters to your reporting you need X Plus rather than X Lite, because Lite is publishing only. Neither price is published, so a quote is the only way to find out.

What Agorapulse’s pricing page doesn’t tell you

The pricing page carries seven FAQs. Between them they cover the trial, changing plans, the card question, the user-versus-profile distinction, demos, nonprofits and support response times. What they do not cover:

  • No refund policy
  • No auto-renewal terms or notice period
  • No proration rules for adding or removing users mid-term
  • No price for the X add-on, extra profiles, or historical data sync
  • No mention that the free plan has been withdrawn

None of that is unusual for software sold on annual contracts. It does mean the questions belong on your list before you sign – because the website will not answer them.

The four we would ask, in this order: what is the notice period to cancel, what happens if we reduce user count at renewal, what do the X add-ons cost per profile, and is the per-user rate locked for the term.

Legacy plans are being retired through 2026

If you have been an Agorapulse customer for a while, this one applies to you rather than to new buyers.

Agorapulse is phasing out what it calls Legacy subscriptions, meaning any pricing model it no longer sells. Its help centre is direct about the consequence – users on a Legacy plan do not get access to new features, because those are reserved for accounts on the current per-user plans.

The migration is running progressively across 2026 with email notice. The practical read is that an old grandfathered rate now comes with a slowly widening feature gap, so “we are on the old plan and it is cheaper” has an expiry date attached.

Agorapulse nonprofit pricing

Agorapulse confirms nonprofit pricing exists and does not publish the rate.

The pricing FAQ says to reach out and they will help you get set up with the right plan at the right price. That is a discount you have to ask for – with no published eligibility rules and no published percentage.

Worth the phone call on a per-user product. On a five-person Advanced team the list cost is 8,940 dollars a year, so even a modest percentage is a real number in a nonprofit budget.

Agorapulse vs NapoleonCat: what you’re actually choosing between

Both tools are built around an inbox, so the daily screen looks similar. The pricing model and what the automation reaches are where they separate.

Agorapulse charges per user with ten shared profiles, and puts rule-based moderation on its top self-serve tier. If your team is small and your profile count is low, that maths works – and it works well.

NapoleonCat includes a team in the plan rather than charging from the first seat, and leads with moderation and automated replies, including under ads. If your day is answering rather than publishing, that is the half of the job you are paying for.

What decides most cases is the cost of extra users. A third person on Agorapulse Advanced adds 1,788 dollars a year. Whether that is worth it depends entirely on one question – does the third person need their own login, or just need the work to get done?

The other half of that answer is what the extra seats are actually for. If the team is growing because more people need to answer comments rather than schedule them, per-seat pricing is charging you for the wrong thing, and our page on the Agorapulse alternative works through that comparison feature by feature.

So is Agorapulse worth the price?

Based on the published pricing and what the help centre documents, the split is fairly clean.

Agorapulse makes sense if:

  • you run ten profiles or fewer and expect to stay there
  • the team is one or two people who each genuinely need a login
  • the inbox and the reporting are the reason you are buying, not the automation
  • you can commit to annual billing and take the 20 to 25% off

Look elsewhere if:

  • your profile count is climbing, since no self-serve tier lifts the ten
  • the team is growing, because every new person costs a full seat
  • X is central to your reporting and an unpriced add-on is not something you can budget
  • rule-based moderation is the job rather than a nice extra, since it only arrives at 149 dollars a user

Agorapulse pricing FAQ

How much does Agorapulse cost per month?

Per user, per month, as of August 2026: Standard 79 USD on annual billing or 99 on monthly, Professional 119 or 149, Advanced 149 or 199, with a quoted Custom tier above. Every plan includes one user, so multiply by the number of people who need a login before comparing it with anything else.

Does Agorapulse have a free plan?

No, not since 6 July 2026. The free plan was withdrawn on that date and existing users were unsubscribed automatically. What remains is a 30-day free trial with no credit card, and a free tier of Archie, Agorapulse’s AI content tool, which allows publishing only through Archie and covers Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.

How many social profiles do you get with Agorapulse?

Ten, on Standard, Professional and Advanced alike. The slots are shared across every user on the account, so adding people does not add profiles, and upgrading tier does not either. Unlimited profiles only come with the quoted Custom plan.

Does Agorapulse charge per user?

Yes. Agorapulse calls it Pricing Per User, and its help centre states that each additional user is charged at the same rate as the first. There is no published volume discount on the self-serve tiers.

Is X (Twitter) included in Agorapulse?

No. Since January 2026 connecting an X profile requires a paid add-on, X Lite for publishing only or X Plus for publishing plus inbox and reports. Neither price is published. X profiles do not count against your ten profile slots.

Does Agorapulse have hidden fees?

Nothing hidden in the deceptive sense, but three costs sit outside the headline price and none of them are published: the X add-on, extra profile slots beyond ten, and extended historical data sync.

Is Agorapulse cheaper than Sprout Social?

At the entry point, yes: 79 USD per user against Sprout’s 79 for Essentials but 199 for Standard, which is the tier most teams actually need. The comparison flips on profiles, because Sprout Professional lifts the limit entirely while every self-serve Agorapulse plan stops at ten.

How long is the Agorapulse free trial?

Thirty days, with no credit card required. That is twice the length of Hootsuite’s and the same as Sprout Social’s.
