Software Engineer

NapoleonCat is a fast-growing social media management SaaS tool with customers in over 60 countries on all continents. We help businesses manage and evaluate their customer engagement on the biggest social media platforms. Our ambition is to become the leading social media management tool for SMEs globally. We are an official Facebook Marketing Partner and we fly on the Google Cloud. As the Software Engineer, you will champion our product development and ensure its strong foundations.

You will:

  • research, design and write new web applications
  • write and test code, optimise and rewrite it if required,
  • analyse project requirements and participate in breaking it down into team backlog,
  • evaluate applications’ quality and proactively report places for optimisations,
  • ensure all services create an integral, reliable and scalable platform,
  • create technical specifications and write documentation,
  • maintain systems by monitoring and correcting application’s defects,
  • work closely with development teams and business units
  • consult clients and support colleagues when it concerns maintenance and performance,
  • explore new technologies and lead R&D activities,
  • act as a technological authority and help other team members intheir development.

Your skills:

  • senior-level knowledge of PHP,
  • experience with SQL queries optimization and database engine tuning,
  • extensive experience with cloud technologies like GCP,
  • broad experience in designing and developing large scale web applications,
  • deep knowledge of building and maintaining a complex ecosystem of microservices,
  • very good understanding of infrastructure as a code,
  • expertise in creating automated CI/CD Pipelines,
  • the ability to communicate with business clients, colleagues and management to explain complex issues clearly and concisely,
  • attention to details and organised approach to work,
  • a logical, analytical and creative approach to problem solving,
  • commercial awareness,
  • experience with applying principles of software architecture in PHP environment,
  • career motivation and a willingness to broader your knowledge and skills,

Your work environment and benefits:

  • we are a team of 20+ people working (mainly) remotely, with occasional team and company offline meetings in our Warsaw office,
